I see a cage
so dark and cold,
locked in this prison
is the beast of old,
I approach the cage,
not a sound I make,
for the beast of old,
My life he may take,
The bars so gray
and devoid of life,
yet strong enough
to hold its might,
Closer I am now,
My mind wants to know
what is this thing,
this beast of old,
but now I know
what I feared to see,
the beast of old,
looks just like me.
As again I see this place
I remember a deadly race,
yet only one remains,
but in a cage he reigns,
As I draw so near,
his growl I cannot hear,
The cage is empty and open
for the gate was tore and broken
and now we all must fear
our deaths are almost here,
But who could be so bold
to release the beast of old,
Now my hair on its end,
My blood boils within,
As his death cry he howls out,
I run and begin to shout,
for now all will end,
and nothing to begin!
As I awake,
and nothing I see,
nothing but darkness
all around me,
space is limited,
not a move can I make,
every part of my body
begins to soon ache,
My mind is soon filled
with panic and fear,
I yell very loud
but no one will hear,
My life almost over,
and I will soon die,
for only lower life forms
down here survive,
As time passes on
I grow more insane
knowing I will never
see light of day,
as my last words are not heard,
for I was left buried alive
and left undisturbed!
